The Innovation Zone at VDI

The I-Zone is one of the newest elements of VDI, providing attendees the opportunity to see automotive-applicable technology demos that haven’t been shown anyplace else. This is often technology that isn’t being used for commercial products yet, but may form the basis for products of the future.

The application deadline is August 1, 2025. See below to apply to I-Zone at VDI 2025.

I-Zone was created to provide a special exhibit area for technology prototypes, proofs of concept, and new products that have been on the market no more than six months prior to VDI.

Selected companies/universities/institutions gain several key benefits:
 

  • Free publicity: Show your new products and technology to the entire VDI community.
  • Expert feedback: Hear what I-Zone committee members – professionals with established track records in industry/academia – have to say about your technology.
  • Free exhibit space: Demonstrate your prototype in the dedicated I-Zone area of the exhibit hall during VDI’s exhibition, September 9-10, 2025.
