Seamless Integration: Converging Invisible Safety and Immersive HMI in Future Cockpits
As vehicles transition towards higher levels of autonomy, the demand for immersive digital experiences often competes with rigorous safety regulations. This keynote introduces a paradigm shift in cockpit design, leveraging Under-Display Camera (UDC) display technology to create uncompromised, bezel-less Driver and Occupant Monitoring Systems (DMS/OMS). Coupled with Rollable OLEDs and tactile smart knobs for blind operation, we will explore how 'invisible' safety features can harmoniously coexist with expansive, flexible displays. This approach would create a minimalist yet highly functional user interface, setting a new design for the balance between aesthetic freedom and critical driving safety.
James Park is the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at BOE Varitronix, with 30 years of expertise and experiences in the automotive display industry. Originally from South Korea, Mr. Park began his career in 1996 at the Hyundai Electronics Auto LCD Development Division. Over the next decade, he built a profound technical foundation in vehicle display technologies.
In 2006, he joined Varitronix as the General Manager of Auto LCD Development. His visionary approach and engineering excellence led to his appointment as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of BOE Varitronix in 2016. Demonstrating versatile executive leadership, he successfully transitioned to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in 2020, effectively bridging the gap between cutting-edge automotive innovations and global market demands. Since 2026, as CSO, he has been steering the company's long-term strategic direction.

From Optical Engineering to optic AI agents: AI, Automotive Light-Field Displays, and the HUD-Driven Future of UX Design
Yunfan Wang is a leading cross-disciplinary expert in the automotive 3D-HUD industry and a core member of the China National Automotive HUD Standards Working Group. He has been devoted to the automotive display industry for years, leading full-process technical R&D and industrialization of 3D-HUD. Wang led the layout of over 300 automotive optical patents and built a fully independent and controllable automotive-grade 3D-HUD production system. He spearheaded the mass production and commercial delivery of the world’s first 3D-HUD products.
Wang is deeply involved in the compilation of China national HUD industry standards, promoting standardized and localized upgrading of the intelligent cockpit display industry. He has a postgraduate degree in industrial design from the Computer Science College,Zhejiang University.
